Cathie Timascheff - Trainer

Cathie teaches Puppy SmartStart and Beginner Programs

Cathie is proud to be a part of DOGSmart Training; working and gaining knowledge and experience from the whole team. Cathie commits to expanding her education by reading and watching the most up to date literature and DVDs on dog behaviour, science and research. Always eager to participate in DOGSmart activities Cathie participates in events such as Dog Days at Trout Lake, Agility Fun Matches and Freestyle Fun demonstrations  

Cathie has had dogs and pets all of her life.  She was 'bitten' by the training bug in 2002 after the adoption of her beloved Cleo, a rescued 8 year Old Belgian Sheepdog X.  She was so inspired by the progress she made working with Cleo that she decided to become a trainer herself - to help others overcome the challenges often faced with adoption.  Sadly, Cleo passed away after only 18 months, but those were surely her happiest days.  However, because of Cleo, her love of training has grown and expanded and she now helps puppies and adult dogs start off on the right "paw" so they stay with their families forever!     

Cathie shares her life with David, her son Sam, Cody, a Malamute cross and Taz, a Pomeranian.
